Sunday, July 17.
Collected by bus at camp for a trip around the Ring of Kerry. Weather was a bit ordinary, so the views may not be as spectacular as hoped. Could have something to do with the tour company name!
Crossed a few stone bridges on the way.
The weather started to change, not rain, permanent mist!
First stop a peat bog village.
As can be seen, weather not playing its part.
Stopped at Cahersiveen for morning tea. As weather was lousy we decided on an Irish Coffee to cheer us up. Was pretty good too.
On to Waterville for a quick stop. This is where Charlie Chsplain came for his holidays.
Hence the statue.
They love their golf here.
On to Sneem for lunch where the mist did lift a bit.
Onwards back towards Killarney over Connor Pass, the highest pass in Ireland. Stopping at Ladies View for a look. So named because Queen Victoria and her ladies would travel up there to admire the view.
We didn’t mind the view either.
Arrived back at camp around 6.00, exhausted. Cooked dinner and had a couple of quiet ones before retiring. Tomorrow we would be hiring a car and driving the Dingle Penninsula.
