Headed off today to Millau where the Millau Viaduct is located. I use this as an example of modern engineering with students at home. 

The weather today was bitter and overcast. Arrived at Millau and found the camp ground by the river. Had caught glimpses of the viaduct on the way down the valley wall to town.  

    
    
  

  
    
    
    
   
Set up, had dinner and rehydration and Dom and I headed for the toilet before retiring. That’s when the heavens opened up and we were stuck in the toilets for half an hour till the storm passes. It had been very dark out towards the east all day. Slightly wet, we made it back to Myrtle.
