VIENNA – DAY 2

Thursday, August 6

Off into Vienna for more of that sightseeing stuff. We were wanting to look at the Military Museum and the Hadzburg’s Summer Palace, but would depend on queues as the temp at the moment is 36 and muggy. We were not going to stand in line for hours to dehydrate.

Unfortunately queues were excessive so may try again tomorrow.

Both buildings look amazing. Hope we have time in the next couple of days. Back to city centre, quick bite and a guided walking your of the city.

Walking tour was great, about an hour and a half and covered most of the major buildings and points of interest.

One of the buildings has been in the one family from the 1600’s and is currently a casino.

St Stephens cathedral.

St Peters cathedral

The Imperial Palace fore court in which just happen to be Roman ruins.

Back to St Stephens for a piano recital in the Crypt.

Recital over we headed back to Myrtle.

Would have loved to see the Lipizana stallions but due to the excessive heat they were having the week off.

 More to come
