Friday, July 26.Stayed at Henley on Thames as it is only 20 minutes from Heathrow, and Linda flies home to Australia tomorrow.
Walked the 1km into town to look around and have a last supper. Henley is a pretty place and we will definitely come back here. Only issue is getting into town off the freeway. Three lanes into one and then a set of traffic lights.
The wait was worth it, lovely buildings.
The oldest pub in Henley.
Like stepping back in time.
The village square.
Can they grow flowers?
More of this quaint buildings.
Quick look in the local church.
Flint stone inserts on the church wall.
Looking up and down the river. First one shows a lot of tents from the towing regatta last week.
Local family dropped in as well.
Enjoying dinner by the river Thames.
Great meal and great company. Off back to Bess for Linda to pack. This should be interesting.
Henley is an interesting mix of old and new! Where did the flints come from? Sunday am here… Linda probably home by now! XXOO
