AYLSHAM, WROXHAM AND THE NORFOLK BROADS

Tuesday June 16

Walked across the carpark to catch the 15″ gauge Bure Steam Railway from Aylsham to Wroxham.

All aboard. The port of Wroxham.

Off on the cruise. All the houses here are sitting on piles 33 metres deep. This is due to the fact that the whole area is waterlogged and the majority of  lakes are former peat bogs. The water is also fresh water.

The engine being rotated on the turntable for the return joirney.

Knitting around the world.

Wooly cows.

End of the line. As we arrived back late we to stay another night before moving on.
